Gautham Menon's Ek Deewana Tha: First Look

Gautham Menon is all set to repeat the Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa magic in Bollywood as well with Ek Deewana Tha, the Hindi remake of his super hit Tamil film/telugu which starred STR/Naga Chaitanya and Trisha/Samantha in lead roles.

A different love story, it revolves around a mechanical engineering graduate, passionate about being a film maker and his neighbour, a girl who is a year old than him. The movie is about the trials and tribulations in they face in their love.

Prateik and Amy Jackson play the lead roles in the Hindi version. Amy is a British model who made her acting debut with the Tamil movie Madrasapattinam. Gautham has modified the screenplay to suit the Hindi audiences.

Music played an important role in the movie and A.R. Rahman has used the hit tunes of VTV for the Hindi version as well. Lyrics are by Javed Akthar. Rest of the technical crew is the same as in the Tamil version. The movie has been shot in Mumbai, AVM studios (Chennai), Kerala and USA.
