Ready (Telugu) : Starring - Ram and Genelia. - A quick look.

The story revolves around Chandu (Ram) who is READY for anything, he is from a very happy loving family of three brothers and a sister. In a Mix-up when he was trying to help his friend for the marriage, he kidnaps another girl Pooja (Genelia). Chandu falls in love with the girl and movie moves how they fall for each other and how he will make her Parents to agree for their marriage.



Does this makes Interesting? No, Ok. But the comedy was very good mainly by Brahmanandam and team. The story have enough scope to have few action scenes also. Movie has many similarities with Pavan Kalyan starrer Gudumba Shankar (mainly second part). The movie has all the usual gimmicks of Telugu movies with a lot of sumo's chasing, 100s of rowdies beaten up by the hero and few comedy scenes. Its the second half which give strength to the movie and the star is Brahmanandam. The movie was one of the top grosser of the year.

There are different version of Ready in other languages - Kannada, Tamil and Hindi.

The Kannada version was released in 2009 and had a very success full run.

'Uthamaputhiran' and 'Ready' - the hero of the Telugu version was 'Raam' who was 20 year old at the time of the release of the movie and 'Dhanush' who is starred in Tamil was 27 Year old and in Kannada Puneet was 34 at the time of the release. And Salman Khan's age is 44. A character done by a 20 Year old actor is been remaded into to different versions by different actor with 27, 34 and 45 age. Now the result will be how the director is going to present or how they are going to present the movie according to the Viewers of North.
Tamil and Telugu movies have very similar style of making, while Kannada has also started the later's style because of the number of remakes in Kannada Industry. What about Hindi? How they are going to show Salman Khan?
Bollywood's interest in remakes started with Priyadarshan's 'Hera Pheri', and a lot of comedy movies got remaded to Hindi from Malayalam, and with a mainstream HIT of 'Ghajini', a remake of Tamil movie with the same title big stars in Bollywood started to concentrate in remakes from Tamil and Telugu, few of the most popular remakes after Ghajini is Wanted and Kampakth Ishk. While 'Wanted' was a remake of Telugu movie, 'Kampakth Ishq' was a remake of Kamal Hasan starrer comedy movie (Tamil). Wanted and Ghajini was huge box office hit. Followed for Salman Khan was 'Dabaangg', though the movie is not a remake of any direct Tamil or Telugu movie, the movie had inch by inch desi touch of Tamil / Telugu mass masala movie, the same formula used by actors like Vijay, Ajith, Pavan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu etc.. An introduction scene  crashing a door, and high voltage action scene inside a mill or a closed factory, and a mass fast number song (Same as in Pokkiri, Sivakasi etc), even the first action scenes were very similar to that of Telugu movie Arjun, and Tamil movie Tirupaatchi. 'A mass hero' is arrived with 'Dabangg', a very rare status in Bollywood these days. No, doubt its going to repeat.

* OLD- Vijay, Ajith, Suriya, Mahesh Babu, Pavan Kalyan movies will get good price (Old because I think everybody is trying to change the image because of the Box Office failure of their respective earlier movies with the OLD same formula), and expect a string of Tamil,Telugu remakes in Hindi, while comedy movies in all south Indian languages are already booked by (!) Akshay Kumar (Just released - House Ful - yet another remake of Kamal Hasan's Tamil comedy movie 'Kadhala Kadhala', and 'Khatta Meetta' - a 20+ year old Malayalam movie starring Mohanlal).

Remake of various Tamil and Telugu movies are on the way. Eg: Singham (Tamil), Magadheera (Telugu) etc..

What about 'Ready'? The story can be told from a 3o - 35 year old middle aged man also. So Salman Khan can easily perform well and the movie has a good dose of Comedy - which Salman is Expert and heavy dose of action - which Salman is trying to expertise. If the direction is good and the script has enough changes.. Salman Khan is going to have yet another good result in Box Office.
